Associate’s Degree: 60 Hours
Any associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. Students transferring less than 60 credit hours will need to complete additional electives in order to complete 120 credit hours for the BAS in Environmental Health and Safety degree.
Environmental Health and Safety Track: 39 Hours
Students may take on campus or distance learning courses.
Critical Career Competencies: 10-12 Credit Hours
Chemistry Choose One: 4-5 Hours
Communication Course Choose One: 3 Hours
Environmental Science Choose One: 3-4 Credit Hours
Suggested Electives: 3-5 Credit Hours
- Other electives as approved by the EH&S program
Essential Global Wisdom: 6 Hours
Choose One: 3 Credit Hours
Total Hours: 120
- Students must complete 39 upper division credit hours (300 level or above).
- Students must consult with their EHS advisor for suggestions on EHS related electives courses or other elective courses that will assist the student in attaining their career goals.
- Students taking lower division environmental health and/or safety courses, such as those provided by associate degree programs, water/wastewater programs or the military, may count those courses as electives.
- Students are required to earn a grade of “C” or better in all EH prefix courses.
