Healthcare is a huge business and Healthcare Administration is one of the fastest growing and highest paid careers in the healthcare industry.

The MSSU Healthcare Administration program supported by the MSSU Gipson Center for Healthcare Leadership offers unique and special opportunities. Scholarships dedicated for Healthcare Administration majors, support for research, leadership development, and dedicated staff, faculty, and advisors all working together in the new Gipson Center.

Healthcare Administration majors must earn a grade of ‘C’ or better in all of the business requirements (including Management) and all Health Sciences requirements (including the capstone experience) in order to earn a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration  degree.

Master of Science in Healthcare Administration

Mission

The Master of Science in Healthcare Administration (MHA) leverages a multi-disciplinary approach to imbue students with a patient-centered perspective for the management of healthcare services. Eight-week classes are offered in an all online format to support working professionals as they seek personal and professional growth.

 

Application Criteria

Eligible applicants for the MHA meet the following criteria:

  1. Have an undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or higher, or a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate academic work.
  2. Hold at least one of the following degrees:
  3. B.S. in Healthcare Administration/Management
  4. B.S. in Health Sciences
  5. MD/DO/DDS
  6. BSN
  7. B.S. in an Allied Health field
  8. B.S. degree and one or more years of experience working full-time in a health field
  9. KCU DO/MHA program

Applications for admission not qualifying under the above criteria will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the program’s Admission Committee.
