FSN 0390 - Baking Science


Demand 3 Credit Hours
Understand the technology and science of baking and learn about a wide range of bakery products. This course will focus on the chemical processes involved in baking. Students will learn about production processes, the functions of various ingredients, and nutrition related to baked items. The course will examine standards and good manufacturing practices (GMPs) relevant to the baking industry. Chemistry recommended. Prerequisite: FS 101.
