SOC 0581 - Stratification: Class, Race, and Gender 3 Credit Hours An analysis of social inequalities on people’s lives in the United States via an overview of the complex array of social structures that comprise systems of inequality by social class, race/ethnicity and gender. An examination of the dimensions of stratification, including differences in power, economic status and prestige that result in varying privileges. Prerequisite: 6 hours of sociology, Graduate Standing, or Consent of Professor.
