CJ 0210 - Criminal Procedure Spring 3 Credit Hours Designed to introduce the student to basic individual rights under the United States Constitution and to show how some of these rights come into conflict with the maintenance of public order and the enforcement of federal and state criminal laws. This course provides an overview of the criminal process, beginning with police contact and moving through the court system. After presenting the basic and underlying concepts, the course will focus on the laws of stop and frisk, arrest, search and seizure, confessions, pretrial identification, and the trial process.
