PHYS 0341 - Thermal Physics

Spring (Odd) 4 Credit Hours
Temperature, laws of thermodynamics, entropy, enthalpy, reversibility and irreversibility, thermal properties of materials, change of phase, use of thermodynamic tables and introduction to heat transfer. Three hours lecture per week plus 1 three-hour laboratory period. Prerequisite: PHYS 0290, PHYS 0291, and MATH 0260 with a ‘C’ or better. Co-requisite: MATH 0260 and PHYS 0290 .
