GEOG 0311 - Geopolitics in Film and Popular Culture

Examines important geopolitical themes, e.g., colonialism, the conduct of warfare, and the development of national identity through expressions of popular culture. A core focus of the class will be how geopolitical ideas are shaped and reinforced by various popular media. Prerequisites: GEOG 110 or higher GEOG, or PSC 120 or higher PSC, and junior standing or consent of instructor.
