SOC 0316 - Introduction to Global Health NEW TERMS: Fall, Spring 3 Credit Hours NEW COURSE DESCRIPTION: Introduces students to the main concepts of the global health field and the critical links between global health and social and economic development. Students will get an overview of the principles and goals of global health, the burden of disease, and key measures to improve global health. Prerequisite: BIO 101 or higher BIO course with a grade of ‘C; or higher OR EH 101 or higher EH course with a grade of ‘C’ or higher AND junior standing OR consent of instructor. Cross-listed with INTS 306 and GEOG 306.
