EDUC 0339 - Teaching Mathematics in Middle and Secondary School


Fall 3 Credit Hours
Prepares middle and secondary mathematics teachers for the decision-making model within the mathematics classroom. This course provides the methodological basis for teaching mathematics and the special challenges within the mathematics classrooms. This course will provide theory and practice that will facilitate mathematics lesson design, decisions concerning implementation of math standards using data to drive instruction, identification of differentiated instructional strategies and formative and summative assessments. Course Charge: $37.50 Teacher Education Program Chg Prerequisites: Recommend enrollment after Junior Block. Must be taken prior to professional education semester.
