Structure and function of proteins (including enzymes), carbohydrates, lipids, membranes, and nucleic acids with emphasis on both chemical and physiological aspects of these compounds. Three lectures per week. Prerequisite: CHEM 0301 (Organic Chemistry I) with a grade of “C” or better. Three lectures per week.
