JS 0582 - Juvenile Delinquency 3 Credit Hours Analysis of the historical, environmental, and social background surrounding juvenile delinquency and associated behaviors. Examination of the behavioral content, scope of official delinquency, and contemporary explanations. Focus on the influences of family, school, peer groups and gangs, the juvenile justice system, and current policies and practices. Prerequisite: Junior level standing, a 3.2 GPA, and permission of the instructor.
