ART 0339 - Moldmaking and Multiples for Ceramics

Spring-Even 3 Credit Hours
Studio course covering the concepts of multiples and the techniques utilized in the replication of identical or similar forms in contemporary functional and sculptural ceramic works. Mold making techniques such as press molds, extrusions, drain molds and other production techniques will be covered. Course will emphasize the fabrication of various types of plaster molds and introduce the slip casting process.
