PHYS 0270 - General Physics I Fall, Spring 4 Credit Hours Introductory study of physics covering vectors, geometric and trigonometric applications in physics, kinematics of particles in one and two dimensions, and Newton’s laws of motion, energy, momentum, kinematics and dynamics of rigid bodies, equilibrium, fluids, heat, and thermodynamics. This course satisfies the major requirements for Physics, Math and Chemistry majors. MOTR: PHYS 200L.
Three one-hour lectures and one three-hour lab per week. Course Charge: $10.00 Special Course Chg - Physics, $60.00 Physics Program Charge Prerequisite: MATH 0150 with a grade of ‘C’ or better.
