CHEM 0140 - General Chemistry I

Fall, Spring, Summer 3 Credit Hours
Introduction to theories of chemistry with emphasis on the relationship of structure to properties of matter, the changes that occur during chemical reactions, and the quantitative aspects of these changes. Three lectures per week. Prerequisite: “C” or better in MATH 0130 or higher level math course or ACT Math score of 27 or higher. Co-requisite: CHEM 0141 . MOTR: CHEM 150L (with CHEM 141) or MOTR: CHEM 150 (without CHEM 141).
