MET 0220 - Introduction to Programmable Logic Controllers

Fall 3 Credit Hours
This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of how transducers can be used in an industrial setting. Students will understand the basic components of a PLC, ladder logic, power supply, and the wiring of inputs and outputs. Programming labs will allow the student to control automation devices to work within a simple manufacturing system. Two hour lecture, two hour lab.
