CIS 0305 - Microcomputer Applications


Fall & Spring 3 Credit Hours
Provides coverage of the most common environments and software tools for the serious user of microcomputers. Hardware topics are included to allow the student to compare and select from system configurations according to his/her computing requirements. A variety of data communication and webpage development topics are covered. The main emphasis is on the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), with special attention given to an in-depth coverage of Excel. (Upon request, credit-by-exam for this course is available. For more information, contact the CIS departmental secretary.) Course Charge: $30.00 CIS Program Charge Prerequisite: MATH 0129   or above with a grade of C or above and CIS 0105   with a grade of B or above or credit-by-exam for CIS 0105  .
