CHEM 0402 - Physical Chemistry II

In the first part of the course, the focus is a microscopic approach to understanding chemical systems. Quantum theory and molecular spectroscopy are emphasized. Then the microscopic approach (quantum theory) is linked to the macroscopic approach (thermodynamics) using statistical mechanics. Three lectures and one 3-hour laboratory per week.
