CIS 0450 - Operating Systems Fall 3 Credit Hours Fundamental concepts of operating system design. Emphasis is placed on identifying the problems an operating system must solve and considering the range of alternative solutions that may be implemented. Topics include process management, memory management, processor management, auxiliary storage management, and security. The Linux operating system is highlighted.
