CJ 0275 - The Juvenile Justice System


Fall 3 Credit Hours
 The introductory course in the area of Juvenile Justice. It is designed to provide an overview of the juvenile justice system as it operates within the criminal justice system. The course will introduce you to the historical evolution and theoretical perspectives of the juvenile justice system. It will also survey the roles of law enforcement, the courts and juvenile corrections, as well as programs, prevention and the future of the juvenile justice system.
