EDUC 0280 - Foundations of Education in a Global Society


Fall & Spring 3 Credit Hours
An introduction to and orientation class for all Teacher Education Programs and is required for all teacher education majors. As an International General Education Requirements course, it examines and compares the policies and practices of educational systems in countries throughout the world with those in the United States, to develop an understanding and appreciation of the historical, philosophical, political, and financial aspects of education in a pluralistic, diverse society. A 32 clock hour field based component of American diversity in Southwest Missouri is included. Requires background check. Requires background check.
