PARA 0254 - Pulmonology

Pulmonology introduces the paramedic student to commonly encountered respiratory system emergencies. Focus will be placed on respiratory anatomy and physiology, and the assessment and treatment of respiratory emergencies. Instruction will integrate assessment findings with principles of epidemiology and pathophysiology to formulate a field impression and treatment plan. Two hours of lecture each week. Co-requisites: PARA 0252 and PARA 0255.
