ENG 0333 - Literary Paris


Demand 3 Credit Hours
An examination of the historic role of Paris in literary production and of the literature produced in this city. Emphasis will be placed upon the city as a locus for the literary productions that shape American, British, and World literatures. Coursework will include a practical orientation to the city, an introduction to French culture, and an in-depth examination of some of those authors whose work was shaped by Parisian experiences. The course includes a mandatory trip to Paris.  Prerequisite:  ENG 0202   Co-requisite: FREN 100 or previous French language experience as determined by the instructor.
