Japanese Certificate in Language Competence, ML83

Prerequisites

• Students can choose to take the basic sequence of courses: JPN 0103  andJPN 0205   OR  JPN 0101  ,JPN 0102  ,JPN 0203  and JPN 0204  (test out).
• OR pass a departmental approved placement exam in order to enroll into upper-division language courses.

Required Courses

9 credit hours of any upper-division Japanese courses with a grade of B or higher

Exit Language Exam

• Students must pass the Exit Language Exam of AAPPL with a score of I2 (letter i)

Total Hours: 9

To complete the required number of upper-division hours some students of Asian languages may need to participated in an approved study abroad or other approved immersive experience such as an internship where the target language is used.
