BIO 0491 - Internship in Biology NEW TERMS: Fall, Fall, Spring, Spring, Summer, Summer 0-4 Credit Hours In conference with an internship committee a semester in advance, the student shall select to work and observe in any area of applied biology in which on-the-job experience would be beneficial to the student’s training. Course can be repeated for up to five credit hours but only a maximum of three hours can be used to meet biology degree requirements. Students are required to enroll in 1-4 credit hours, subject to the provisions of the internship, and in a one zero-credit hour. Additional expenses may be incurred depending on the specific requirements of each internship. Prerequisites: permission of the internship committee, department chair, and school dean; sophomore standing with at least eight hours of biology coursework strongly recommended. Prerequisites: Junior standing or above in biology with a minimum of 20 biology hours and 20 upper division hours or with permission of the internship committee. Course can be repeated but a maximum of 4 hours can be used to meet biology major requirements.
