PSY 0205 - Child and Adolescent Development


Demand 3 Credit Hours
This course examines development from conception to adolescence, focusing on physical, cognitive, and social-emotional changes in infants, children, and adolescents. Students will explore major developmental theories, research methodologies, and the role of empirical evidence in shaping our understanding of these developmental periods. Topics include family, peers, and cultural influences, as well as current issues affecting child and adolescent development. The course emphasizes both normative developmental patterns and individual differences. Prerequisite: PSY 100 with minimum grade of ‘C’. No credit will be given if PSY 200 has been completed.
