EDUC 0381 - Culture and Language Acquisition (Sociolinguistics) for ELL

Our multicultural society poses us with questions that reshape our teaching. Many questions emerge, and special emphasis is given to the language of diversity and with how a perspective based on a knowledge of differences can shape contextual, curricular, and instructional development and decisions. This course focuses on the foundations of multicultural education along with approaches to multicultural education and teaching strategies applicable to all ages, grades, and subjects. Prerequisite: Sophomore status. Prerequisite: Sophomore standing.
