NURS 0458 - Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice


Fall, Spring 4 Credit Hours
This course will introduce the basic concepts, processes, and applications of nursing research with a focus on the research role of the nurse in the delivery of safe, evidence-based, and quality patient care. Concepts specific to nursing research will include professional, legal, and ethical responsibilities of the nurse research and relevance of research as it relates to evidence-based practice. Prerequisites: admittance to the RN to BSN nursing program, minimum GPA of 2.8, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Missouri OR compact state, Pre-requisite nursing courses as listed in the admission section of the catalog; NURS 431; and NURS 437; and NURS 444; and NURS 451 all with a grade of ‘C’ or higher.
