NURS 0314 - Pharmacology I


Fall 2 Credit Hours
Introduces the learner to pharmacological concepts that are foundational to noticing person and system-related factors that contribute to safe medication administration. The use of dimensional analysis in calculating Level I dosage calculations. The nursing role in administration of analgesics, herbal supplements, anti-infectives, and over-the-counter medications will also be considered. Course Charge: $30.00 Health Science Program Charge Prerequisites: admittance to the nursing program, minimum GPA of 2.8, co-requisites: NURS 321 and NURS 307. Recommended electives of HS 111, HS 210, BIO 308.
