MET 0100 - Introduction to Machine Tool Processes


Fall & Spring 3 Credit Hours
 Provides the foundation to the theory and safe operation of machine tools. The fundamental practices covered will include shop safety, basic mathematics, blueprint reading, bench work, precision measurement, metal sawing, drills and drilling, and the operation of engine lathes and mills. Two hours lecture, two hours lab. Prerequisites: students must have a Math ACT score of 22 or higher, or MATH 0030  (or higher) with a grade of ‘C’ or better, or ACT WorkKeys Applied Mathematics Test Level 6 or higher.
