BIO 0362 - Virology

Structure, classification, and life cycles of bacterial, animal, and plant viruses, their significance in disease (including cancer) and the use of viruses in modern biological research. The laboratory will stress the cultivation of viruses in bacterial and other cells. Three lectures, one 3-hour lab per week. Prerequisites: BIO 0231.
