BIO 0305 - Genetics

Fall & Spring 4 Credit Hours
Introduction to principles of heredity, gene structure, expression, and regulation. Emphasis on cytological and molecular approaches to nucleic acid replication, transcription, translation, and other genetic mechanisms. Lab exercises illustrate genetic principles and techniques used in modern genetic research. Three lectures, one 3-hour lab per week. Prerequisite: BIO 0111.
