PHYS 0125 - Descriptive Astronomy


4 Credit Hours
Study of our solar system and universe including the following topics: the solar system, Kepler’s laws, celestial coordinates and observing. Hertzsprung-Russell diagrams, stellar evolution, pulsars, black holes, nebulae, galaxies, and cosmology.  Three lectures and one three-hour lab per week. Prerequisite: MATH 0030  or higher
